God Keeps His Promise Literally

Dear Children,

Our parents make many promises to us. For example, sometimes our parents may promise to take us to the zoo if we behave well. When our parents make this promise, we look forward to going to the real zoo and seeing the real animals. But what if our parents say, “The zoo I promised you is only an imaginary zoo. Here is a picture of the zoo that I drew on a piece of paper”? We would be very disappointed! Why? Because we expected to go to a real zoo, not just look at a picture of one.

The same is true of God's promises. God does not make empty promises. God will keep every promise that He has made. It is a blessing to believe God's promises.

Let us look at this verse: Revelation 1:3,

Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.

This verse tells us that we are blessed when we read God's Word, hear God's Word, and keep the things that God has told us.

Just as we look forward to going to the zoo when our parents promise to take us, we can also look forward to the day when God fulfils His promises. One of God's promises is that Jesus will come again and rule on earth for a thousand years, and those who belong to Christ will reign with Him.

We do not need to worry that God might not keep His promise. Our parents are human, and sometimes they may not be able to keep a promise. But God is the Almighty God. He can do everything that He has promised.

So, children, when God gives us a promise, let us believe Him. We should not think that God's promises are just imaginary stories. God means what He says, and He will do what He has promised.

Let us trust God, believe His Word, and look forward to the day when He fulfils His promises.
