Proverbs 4:26, Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established.
To ponder is to weigh. It is like weighing something to check what it is worth. Here it means to ponder or weigh the path one is going whether it is right or wrong, safe or dangerous, etc. The implication is that there is a right and wrong path. When one does that, then the result is that all thy ways be established which means all his ways, decisions and choices will be secured and firm. How does one do that? One must always use the Bible and consider all the godly counsels before taking a particular path.
Dear children, you may be invited by your friends to go to places, or you may need to choose schools for higher education, or you may want to visit a location. Everyday you will be faced with decisions and choices to make. But you must always consider whether those decisions and choices will take you or your feet to places where God and His Word will be honoured or dishonoured, esteemed or blasphemed. If God and His Word will be honoured and esteemed, then it is good for you to do it. If God and His Word will be dishonoured and blasphemed, then you must not do it. Be careful little feet where you go!
