Proverbs 13:9
“…whether short-term or long-term…”
Every day of our lives, we make plans, whether short-term or long-term. As the saying goes, “If you fail to plan. You plan to fail!” For example, we need to wisely plan a study timetable to prepare for the coming examination, a training program to get ready for the sports competition, an exercise activity to keep us healthy, etc. Most importantly, we need to plan a spiritual devotional routine to pray, and perhaps read a particular book of the Bible for the month or the entire Bible for the year.
Dear children, you need to plan wisely, but at the same time, you need to know that it is God alone who can help you to accomplish your plan. Proverbs 13:9, A man’s heart deviseth his way: but the LORD directeth his steps. God will not direct you in the wrong path (as sometimes we do make foolish plans), but always in the right path that is best for us. Therefore, be wise and plan, but prayerfully commit your plan to God so that He will direct you according to His will, plan and purpose.
