Genesis 3:15
“…He would send a Saviour to defeat Satan and save His people from sin…”

Dear children,
We all know the story of Adam and Eve. God created them perfect and placed them in a beautiful garden. He gave them only one rule: they must not eat the fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. If they obeyed God, they would live forever. But Adam and Eve disobeyed God after Satan tempted them.
Because of their sin, they became sinners—just like us. And just like us, they needed a Saviour. But how could they know about Jesus, since Jesus was born many thousands of years later?
They knew because God gave them a promise. In Genesis 3:15, God said that He would send a Saviour to defeat Satan and save His people from sin.
“And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.” This verse teaches us that the “seed of the woman” is Jesus, and the serpent is Satan. Jesus would defeat Satan, though He Himself would suffer.
When Jesus died on the cross, it seemed like Satan had won. But that was not the end! Jesus rose again on the third day. His death was not permanent, and through His resurrection, He dealt a final and powerful blow to Satan. So Adam and Eve believed in God’s promise that Jesus would come. Today, we believe that Jesus has already come and has saved us.
Dear children, let us also believe in Jesus Christ, just like they did, and we will live forever and ever
