“…this is a most relevant theme…”

Dear Rev Paul, Bethel’s session, members and regular worshippers,
Greetings in our Lord's blessed name. I trust this email finds you, your families, and all the brethren at Bethel BPC well in the Lord. By God's grace and through your prayers, we are doing well. Praise God for His goodness and faithfulness.
On behalf of First Bible Presbyterian Church, I would like to take this opportunity to invite Rev Paul to come and visit us, if possible, in the month of November this year. God willing, we are planning to conduct a seminar, focusing on "Building a Godly Family," and we would like to invite Rev Paul to be our speaker. We believe this is a most relevant theme, in view of the various and many challenges being faced by the people: issues such as dysfunctional families, problems in husband-wife relationship, issues between parents and children, widowhood, divorce and remarriage, etc. The issues are many, and they are even more complicated by the political situation of the country, where young people are being forced to military service on one side, and on the other side they are being persuaded to join the resistance group to fight against the military government, etc. We are in a situation where law and order are lacking, and this has had an impact on the people. Building a godly family is very important, and even more so, in the current situation we are in.
We praise and thank God for enabling you to help us establish “Bethel Children Care Ministry” - a gospel outreach ministry to the orphans and children in need. This is an in-house ministry, where the children are provided accommodation, food, school, and most importantly, spiritual programs. Presently, we have nine children living in the premises. However, there are many more other children seeking admission into BCCM. These children are mainly from dysfunctional families; divorces, abandonments, desertions, lack of parental care and juvenile delinquency are not only prevalent in the world, but sadly even in many churches. This is the reason why we feel very strongly that a conference on “Building a Godly Family” is so vital in such a time like this.
Even as we have been blessed so much in the past by Rev Paul’s messages, in his speaking to us on many occasions, including the most recent one in June this year (church camps, the Lord's Day service, etc), we would like to invite him to speak to us at the aforementioned seminar, and in addition, if possible, to speak at our Lord's Day Worship Service as well.
In fact, if possible, we would like Bethel to organize a mission trip to Myanmar, with as many brethren as possible from Bethel BPC. This would give us good opportunities for better connection and knowledge of one another, and mutual encouragement, and to discuss the various aspects and needs of the ministries (such as Bethel Children Care Ministry, and others), in order that we all may do greater service for our God and Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ. We will be in prayer as we wait for your reply.
Please know also that our churches here always pray for you, your families, and Bethel BPC. May the Lord continue to keep you faithful and strengthen you for His glory.
"Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord" (1 Corinthians 15:58).
In Christ,
Rev Biak
(on behalf of First Bible-Presbyterian Church and Bethel Children Care Ministry, Myanmar)
