“…the LORD is faithful…”
Dear Rev Paul Cheng, the Church Session and all our beloved brethren at Bethel BPC,
I thank my God upon every remembrance of you, Always in every prayer of mine for you all making request with joy, For your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now; Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ: (Philippians 1:3-6).
On behalf of the brethren here in Gethsemane BPC Cebu, please receive our warm greetings on the occasion of the Church’s 39th anniversary!
Forty years save one, is a milestone! It’s one special occasion that we all can rejoice as you remain steadfast in pursuing the Lord’s mandate to be a faithful witness for Him.
Through the years and in the midst of many challenges and difficulties, you have endured in your commitment in the work of the ministry; “for the perfecting of the saints and the edifying of the body of Christ” (Ephesians 4:12), even reaching out to the lost with the gospel. Alongside your active involvement in the work of missions, supporting missionaries and setting up mission churches in other parts of the world. Truly, the LORD is faithful in keeping the church and sustaining its ministries all these years!
I thank the Lord for the bond that we have with you. Your partnership with us in the work of the gospel has been a great encouragement; even so, the many opportunities for mutual edification. Yes, we may be miles apart; separated in the flesh but not in the spirit. Like when the Apostle Paul wrote in Colossians 2:5, “For though I be absent in the flesh, yet am I with you in the spirit, joying and beholding your order, and the stedfastness of your faith in Christ.” I thank the Lord for the constant correspondence; exhorting one another; and praying for one another!
Moving on, I would take this opportunity to greet our brother, Pastor Paul and the Church Session. “For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God; (Colossians 1:9-10).
On this happy occasion, I also would like to express our sincere appreciation for all your prayers and support.
May the Lord bless Bethel BPC with many more years of service unto Him, to the glory of His Name!
