Proverbs 25:28
“…we will be destroyed…”
Proverbs 25:28, He that hath no rule over his own spirit is like a city that is broken down, and without walls.
A city is well-protected and secured when it has strong walls or fortresses. Without the walls, the enemies will invade and the city will be broken down. Similarly, if we do not exercise self-control, we will be destroyed.
Dear children, when we do not control our emotions, words and actions, it will bring a lot of harm to us. When we allow our emotions to rule over our decisions, we will make foolish decisions. When we do not think through what we ought to say or not say, our words will bring us trouble. When we do not take control of our actions and just do as we like, we will not only hurt ourselves but others as well. We must be wise to exercise self-control!
