“… there is a reward that will never fade away…”

Dear children,
Some of us enjoy sports and work very hard to win competitions. Others may be talented in robotics, art, music, or other activities. When you do well, you may receive a medal or a trophy for your achievements, especially if you perform exceptionally well. Your parents and friends may also be proud of what you have accomplished.
However, these achievements only last for a short time. As the years pass, people may stop talking about them, and eventually they may even forget who won the competition. But there is a reward that will never fade away—the reward that God gives in heaven. This reward can only be earned by faithfully serving Him.
1 Corinthians 3:8 “Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour.”
This verse teaches us that every Christian will one day receive a reward from God according to the work that he has done for Him.
The Bible also tells us that God will test our works. He will see whether they are valuable and enduring like gold, silver, and precious stones, or whether they are like wood, hay, and stubble that can easily be burned up.
There are many faithful men in the Bible who served God well, such as Apostle Paul and King David. On the other hand, there were people like Lot, Abraham's nephew, who made many poor choices and lived a worldly life. One day, the works of all believers will be examined by God.
Therefore, let us strive to run the Christian race faithfully and serve God with all our hearts, knowing that the reward He gives will last forever and ever.
