📣 What place does the Lord’s Day hold in your life? 🤔 From the beginning, God set apart six days for labour and one for rest. But with the resurrection of Christ, the first day became the Christian Sabbath—a day to remember our risen Saviour. Yet how often do we treat all seven days as our own, forgetting that one has been set aside for Him? What does it mean to delight in this command rather than see it as a burden? What blessings do we miss when we neglect the Lord’s Day? Exodus 35:1–3 reminds us to pause, to step away from our busy striving, and to taste even now the eternal rest that awaits God’s people. How will you keep the day holy?
📣 What place does the Lord’s Day hold in your life? 🤔 From the beginning, God instituted six days of work then rest on the seventh day. But with the resurrection of Jesus Christ on the first day, the Sabbath is now the Christian Sabbath. To keep the Christian Sabbath is to remember our Saviour. Yet, how tragic it is when the believer insists on keeping all days for himself when a day has been set aside for our Lord. To neglect the Lord’s Day is to disobey God and to rob yourself of His gift. This is no small matter. Take the commandment of God in Exodus 35:1-3 as a delight not as a burden. Step away from your busy work to enjoy a foretaste of your eternal rest to come.
