I, dust and ashes,
am speaking
to the living
eternal, true God.
Who am I
that I should
lift up my eyes
to the Divine Majesty?
‘Oh, it is
just another
worship service,
what is the big deal?’

📣 Why should you be allowed to approach God on a Sunday morning? 🤔
In this sermon from Exodus 24:4-8, we explore an answer to this question of eternal significance: If God is holy and righteous beyond all comprehension, what qualifies a sinner to come before Him? If humanity is as lost and rebellious as our lives suggest we are, and God is as perfect and just as the Bible says He is, how can we ever be reconciled to Him? As Pastor Paul explains, your ability to correctly answer this question is not only the key to salvation, but also the key to properly approaching public worship, and even the key to keeping yourself humbly grounded in your daily walk with the Lord. This message is equal parts poignant and reassuring, reminding the Christian of the sufficiency of Christ.
📣 Do you understand the depth of the covenant God made with His people? 🤔
We often hear about covenants in the Bible, but what makes God’s covenant so unchangeable? How does the sacrifice of Christ fulfill God’s promises? Join us as we examine the covenant of grace, a binding agreement fulfilled in Jesus alone. It’s a covenant that spans both sides of the cross, saving all who believe—then and now.
This sermon will help you reflect on how Christ’s sacrifice grants us access to the living God. Are you approaching Him through faith, clinging to His grace alone? Don't miss this profound message on why faith in Jesus is the only way to approach God’s majestic presence.
📣 How does God's eternal covenant and Christ’s ultimate sacrifice intersect? 🤔
The idea of a covenant is powerful—God’s unbreakable promises to His people. But why did this covenant require the ultimate sacrifice of His Son? How do these two divine truths converge, and what does it mean for your relationship with God today?
Join us this Sunday to explore the incredible mystery of God’s covenant of grace and the sacrifice that sealed it. What role do you play in this eternal promise? And how does Christ's death continue to change lives today, including yours? This is not just another message; it’s an invitation to understand the depth of God's love and His unwavering commitment to you.
Highlights
Jesus was the ultimate lamb sacrificed in the altar
when we approach our holy God he sees us washed by the blood of His only begotten son and we are clothed with his righteousness
it is only on the basis of His sacrifice that we can approach His majesty
today some people come to church to meet their friends. to please their parents. to fulfil obligations. some come with the a careless attitude. what is the big deal? with no consideration of the only basis whereby they can approach God…
they come as long as it does not encroach on other preferred activities.
do you think God does not know? he knows. and he wants his children to know that it is all because of the sacrifice of His only begotten Son.
SECOND POINT
we are familiar with agreements. when two parties sign an agreement, it cannot be changed. if a human agreement cannot be changed, how much more the covenant of God.
when moses read the book of the covenant…
genesis 15:
it was unilateral. it was unconditional. God would make sure it would be fulfilled. it was unchangeable. and it all has to do with one person. that person is Jesus Christ. gen 22:18
most certainly the israelites could not keep all the words of the covenant. it was not their ability to keep all.
it was their faith in the blood of the sacrificed animals pointing to the blood of Jesus Christ
no matter how hard we try, we cannot keep all the laws of God. man cannot succeed in perfectly keeping the law. and God cannot fail in perfectly keeping his promise. that is our covenantal God
IDEA:
- at the end of the sermon: can use the analogy by DL moody about the man who wanted to paint a sinner. but the beggar dressed up and became useless to the painter.
- either as last segment of trailer, or added ending without captions, or as a short.
