Continue In Prayer (Colossians 4:2-4)

Introduction Prayer life often shrinks quietly. Colossians emphasizes Christ’s sufficiency. Prayer is one response to that sufficiency.

I. The Shape Of Prayer (v.2) Continue: hold your place. Watch: stay awake, spiritually alert. With thanksgiving: gratitude woven into prayer.

II. The Content Of Prayer (v.3-4) Paul does not ask for release, but for an open door. The door belongs to God. Prayer meeting means carrying one another before God. Intercession is costly and hidden.
